"the drone" or "all-american milkshakes"

Hey Journal!

I'm super-excited for this upcoming THREE DAY WEEKEND! Wahoo!

This morning I got up and headed off to work. Re was in all day, in fact, she got in a few minutes before it did. There was a lot to get done today! Re did all of the closes that had been backlogged and that took until the early afternoon. One of the other big jobs for the day was preparing and sending out the monthly bills. I had ordered envelopes for that yesterday, but they didn't come until about 4:00! In the meantime, Re made the tee sheets for the next few months and paid the bills.

For me, the DRONE came today! It was very exciting but it came with absolutely no instructions at all and a bunch of pieces that had to be assembled! Bill and I tried to figure out how to attach the propellers but it wasn't very easy. I wound up watching a bunch of You Tube videos to figure it out.

I spent a couple of hours getting it set up and getting an idea of what you need to know before you try to fly the thing!

We did a very small test run in the basement and the thing flipped upside down and went crazy... not very promising!

For lunch I got the special pasta with some exemptions. That meant I got pasta with chicken, garlic, and oil. Re got the same thing but hers came with broccoli and peppers. I really enjoyed mine and Re said she really enjoyed hers also.

We left at 5:00 and headed home. When I got home, Dan went to the gym and I did something around the house. I wanted to clean up a little and prepare for our little 3rd of July party tomorrow!

When Dan got back from the gym he showered up and then we made plans to go to All American and get some MILKSHAKES! I had been craving one of their milkshakes for weeks and so really happy we went.

We met Linda and the kids there at about 9:15. Dan and I hadn't eaten dinner yet so we got some burgers and fries as well. We hung out for a while and then it started to rain! We had no idea that rain was in the forecast! We did our best to hang out under the overhang and stay dry.

The place closed at 10:00 and we were standing outside near the window to the kitchen. The guys were cleaning the grill inside and we were watching. All of a sudden, Cameron says "that looks like tits!" We were all very confused and tried to ask her to explain what she was talking about. I don't think we ever REALLY understood what she was saying looked like "tits," but we asked her what that meant and she said she didn't know. Dan told her she shouldn't say words when she doesn't know what they mean!

Later on, she said that it meant "toes." And then when we were about to leave she told Dan, "slap your tits when you get home!" It was hysterical but still a mystery where she came up with that word!

We got home around 11:00 and Dan and I watched another episode of OITNB. Slowly but surely we're making it through the season!

Now it's time for bed....

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
