"baby owen" or "homemade slurpee"

Hey Journal!

This morning we woke up at about 10:15 and had to get ready to go over to Shawn and Caitlin's to see their new baby! I was very excited to see the baby but I feel like we didn't sleep enough this weekend at all! I am so exhausted now and I can't believe it's back to work tomorrow!

So, we got up and got ready and stopped at Bagel Maniac on the way to get some bagels to bring over. We arrived a little after 11:00 and Shawn brought out Baby Owen for the first time! He looked SOOOO much smaller than I had expected based on the pictures he sent. In the photos he looked much larger!

He basically slept the whole time we were there, of course, but he's very cute!

We hung out there for a while and talked about random baby-related stuff. We had our bagels, and heard all about their first week of baby life!

We stayed until about 12:30 and then we went over to Dan's Grandma's house to drop off her Christmas gift! We had gotten her this sweatshirt / hoodie and we had picked out a small but she insisted that she was a medium. We exchanged it the day after Christmas but we never gave it to her!

She was preparing to go out to a wake so we didn't stay for very long... maybe about 15 minutes, and then we headed home.

I was already feeling exhausted on the way home and I just wanted to take a nap. I was also really thirsty and craving a Slurpee! We stopped at THREE 7-11s on the way home and none of them had any flavor I liked. I was so upset. I really think that the 7-11 app should include the flavors at each location. It's just like the Speedway App shows you the gas prices nearby. This is vital information... the public needs to know!

After we struck out three times, Dan suggested that we go home and make our own Sluprees. We had a Minute Maid Fruit Punch mix in the freezer and we put it in the blender with some water and whipped them up ourselves! It was pretty amazing!

We took our homemade Slurpees and watched the Walking Dead until about 4:30! We fit in a bunch of episodes and it's getting better and better. I am liking it so much more now than in the beginning!

At 4:20 we had to stop and head over to Dan's parents' house for dinner. Dan's mom made Chicken Parmesan and we hung out and had an enjoyable time. Dan's Grandma came over although she didn't eat much because she said she was having trouble with her teeth and she also couldn't taste anything!

We had a cake and sang happy birthday to Dan and Dan's Grandma!

Dan's dad left around 7 to bring Brian and Jessica home and we departed shortly after that.

When we got home we watched more Walking Dead and then I took a shower around 9. We watched Once Upon a Time after that, followed by HTGAWM! Quantico was on tonight, too but we're saving that!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
